The English Department at SDSCPA cultivates culturally literate, articulate, and analytical students who value academic and artistic expression. Through a rigorous, arts-integrated curriculum, we strengthen communication skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and ethical awareness. Students engage with diverse texts and develop a deeper appreciation for literature and language. With UC Integration, AP, and City College courses, we prepare students for postsecondary success and empower them to become confident thinkers, readers, and writers who engage thoughtfully with the world.
